There's a whole side of Vail that doesn't make the brochure.

East Vail is the first stop after you conquer the pass. It gets shade early. The stars are loud. Jake brakes and chain-up stations are part of the winter soundtrack, and Gore Creek runs right through the neighborhood. It's not the Village — and that's the point.

East Vail Ski Club started as a fun, cheeky way to celebrate that side of it. We love all of Vail: the great restaurants, the bars, the energy of one of the most iconic mountains in the world. But we love it enough to be honest about it — to remember why everyone came in the first place. The Back Bowls are still the Back Bowls. The right storm can still change tomorrow's plans. The right run can still make you feel twelve years old.

This isn't a purity test. The Bighorn is an invitation, not a credential.

So here's what this is. A place to ski hard, host friends, take breaks in unexpected spots, eat well at every price point, find the stuff that gives this town texture, and know how to finish the day. Caviar in the snow. Coors Light next to the good stuff. A dive bar and a great dinner in the same afternoon.
